Introduction

Occasionally, users of XSite may encounter instances where shifts appear to be missing when attempting to generate reports or perform fuel reconciliations. This guide provides steps and measures to troubleshoot and resolve the issue of missing shifts.

Initial System Refresh

  1. Initially, if shifts are missing from your reports or reconciliation data, a system refresh or resync within XSite can help. This process can often resolve minor glitches by updating the system data and potentially restoring the visibility of the missing shifts.

Check Your FOB Device

  1. A ‘FOB’ is a compact security hardware device embedded within your system for secure access control. The Bulloch data, including shift information, is stored on a Secure FTP Server. The ‘FOB’ provides you access to this server.
  2. At the conclusion of each shift, a sequence of events occurs:
    1. A shift end report is printed.
    2. Sales data, including pump reads and other transactional information, is compiled into a ‘TRS-XML’ file for back-office inventory tracking.
  3. To locate your FOB, search for a blue stick inserted into the Bulloch PC’s hard drive.

Ensure Active Sentex Service Subscription

  1. A critical step to ensure continuous operation and data storage is maintaining an active subscription with Sentex for the monthly service (approximately $10 per month). Without this service, the system will automatically shut off, and sales data will cease to be received or stored.
  2. It’s important to note that restoration of missed reports due to lapsed Sentex services is not possible through XSite. If system refreshes do not reveal the missing shifts, and the FOB device checks out, direct communication with Sentex is advised for further assistance.

Sentex Support Contact

  • For issues beyond the retrieval of missing shifts that are suspected to be related to the FOB device or Sentex services, reaching out directly to Sentex for support is recommended. You can contact Sentex at 1-888-473-6839 for service inquiries or issues.
