Setting up the EY017 Scanner on XSite Mobile

1. Before pairing your EY 017 Scanner with your device, it's essential to configure it correctly. This process requires the EY-017 User Manual, which contains specific QR codes for configuration.
2. Ensure the scanner is not currently connected to any devices. This will prevent any interference during the setup process.
3. Refer to Page 19 of the digital User Manual (or Page 27 in the physical manual) to locate the QR code labeled ‘Hide Back 1 bits’. Scanning this code configures the scanner for optimal use with XSite Mobile.
4. If you scan the wrong QR code by mistake, don’t worry. You can reset the scanner to its default settings by scanning the ‘Reset Configuration to Defaults’ QR code found on Page 6 of the manual.
5. Turn on the scanner; it will automatically enter pairing mode, indicated by a quickly flashing blue light on the left.
6. Navigate to the Bluetooth settings on your mobile device and select ‘EY-017’ from the list of available devices. The scanner will emit a beep to confirm a successful pairing, and the blue light will switch to a steady on.
