The ‘Mix and Match’ feature in XSite provides a versatile promotion mechanism allowing retailers to offer customers special pricing on a combination of items. These deals can incentivize customers to buy in larger quantities or combine items to receive a discount. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up a ‘Mix and Match’ promotion, ensuring you can leverage this tool effectively to enhance your sales strategy.
Important: ‘Mix and Match’ module must be activated on the Passport to gain access to this feature.
Creating a ‘Mix and Match’ promotion in XSiteIO.
- Navigate to the 'Price Book' section in the XSite sidebar menu.
- Hover over ‘Promotions’ and click on 'Mix and Matches' to open the promotion configuration page.
- Create a new ‘Mix and Match’ by following these steps:
- Click on the ‘+’ button in the top left corner.
- A unique ‘Mix and Match’ ID will be automatically generated for you. Feel free to enter your own ID number.
- Enter the promotion's name in the 'Name' field. This should be descriptive and easy to identify.
- Determine the start and end dates for the promotion using the calendar selection tools under 'Starting' and 'Ending'.
- Set the 'Units' to the quantity needed for the promotion—for a 'buy two for the price of one' deal, enter '2'.
- Choose the promotion type (e.g., 'Total Price', 'Discount Amount', or 'Discount Percentage') from the dropdown menu.
- Input the corresponding price or discount value in the 'Amount' field.
- Click on the 'Add' button.
- Click on the ‘+’ button in the top left corner.
- From the list below, locate the ‘Mix and Match’ you just created and click on the ‘ID’ number.
- Choose the appropriate 'Site/Region' where the promotion will be active at the top of the menu.
- Use the search function from the ‘Components/Item list’ menu to add the appropriate items to your ‘Mix and Match’.
- When all items are visible in the ‘Items in Item Lists’ menu, click the 'Update' button to save the configuration.
- Ensure the status is set to 'Active' to enable the promotion.
