Manually input customer payments
Record payments made outside the POS

This article shows you how to manually enter a customer payment in XSiteIO or XSite Classic by selecting the customer, invoice, date, and payment amount so you can keep customer accounts and payment records accurate and up to date, even when payments are received outside the POS.
Before you begin
You must have access to Accounts and Payments in XSite.
Steps
Manually input customer payments in XSiteIO
- Go to [Price Book] in the side menu.
- Select [Accounts] and then [Payments].
- Click [Generate] to display the payment list.
- In the top row, enter the payment date in the Date column.
- Select the customer name from the dropdown next to the date.
- Select the correct invoice number from the next dropdown.
- Enter the payment amount in the Amount field.
- Click [Add] to save the payment.
Manually input customer payments in XSite Classic
- Go to [Accounts] in the side menu.
- Select [Payments].
- Scroll to the last row to find the manual entry line.
- Enter the payment date in the Date of Payment field.
- Select the customer name from the dropdown.
- Select the invoice number the payment applies to.
- Enter the payment amount.
- Click [Add] to complete the entry.
Tips & Warnings
- Make sure you select the correct invoice before saving the payment.
- Payments entered manually cannot be undone. Double-check the date and amount.
- If an invoice does not appear, confirm it was created and is still open.
- Manual payments are best used for checks, bank transfers, or other non-POS payments.
