Quickly locate what you need in XSite

This article shows you how to use the search bar and side menu in XSite to locate items, suppliers, price groups, reports, and settings so you can save time and reduce mistakes by finding the correct information without searching through menus.
Before you begin
Before you start, make sure:
- You are logged into XSite.
- You have access to the areas you are trying to view.
Steps
Use the search bar
- Look at the top center of the screen.
- Find the search bar.
- Click inside the search bar.
- Type what you are looking for.
- Enter an item name, PLU, UPC, supplier name, or price group name.
- Review the list of suggestions that appears.
- Click the result that matches what you need.
- If needed, click [Load more items] to see additional results.
Review what opens
- For items, review the PLU, description, price, UPC, and quantity on hand.
- For suppliers, review supplier details and supplied items.
- For price groups, review included items and discounts.
Find reports
- Open the side menu.
- Click [Reports].
- Browse the report columns to find the report you need.
- Click the star icon to save a report as a favourite.
Find settings
- Open the side menu.
- Click [Settings].
- Select the area you want to manage, such as general settings, regions, sites, or users.
Tips & Warnings
- The search bar shows results as you type. Slow down if results change quickly.
- If you cannot find something, check spelling or try a different word.
- Not all users can see all settings. Access depends on permissions.
- Use favourites in Reports to save time later.
