This article shows you how to use the Sync button in XSite to send item, price, and deal updates to the POS system so prices, items, and deals are up to date at the POS and checkout runs smoothly.

Before you begin

Before you start, make sure:

  • You have finished making changes in XSite.
  • Your internet connection is working.
  • Your POS is online and connected.

Steps

  1. Review your changes in XSite.
  2. Confirm items were added or removed.
  3. Confirm prices or costs were updated.
  4. Confirm deal groups or price groups were added or changed.
  5. Go to the top of XSite.
  6. Click the [Sync] button with the double arrow icon.
  7. Wait while XSite sends updates to the POS.
  8. Keep the screen open during the sync.
  9. Do not close the browser or lose connection.
  10. Go to the POS after the sync finishes.
  11. Check a few items to confirm updates applied.
  12. Confirm prices, new items, and deals look correct.

Tips & Warnings

  • Sync after every pricing, item, or deal change.
  • Syncing may take a few minutes. This is normal.
  • Both XSite and the POS must be online for syncing to work.
  • If updates do not appear, wait a moment and try syncing again.
  • Error messages often explain what went wrong. Read them carefully.
  • If problems continue, contact XSite Support and explain what you tried to sync
