How do I search within XSite?
A search bar guide for items, suppliers, and codes
Introduction
The search function in XSite serves as a powerful tool, enabling users to quickly access a wide range of information within the system. Located centrally at the top of the page in both XSite Classic and XSiteIO, it simplifies the retrieval process of various data types, such as item specifics, supplier details, and price group classifications.
Utilizing the Search Bar
- The search bar is positioned at the top center of the interface in both versions of XSite.
- Begin by typing the subject of your inquiry into the search bar. This could be an item, supplier, PLU, or UPC, among other data points.
- As you type, XSite provides a list of suggestions that match your input. These suggestions include items, suppliers, price groups, etc., relevant to your search term.
- For example, inputting ‘Pepsi’ generates a dropdown list that includes various Pepsi products, the Pepsi supplier profile, and associated price groups. (If your item isn't listed, click “Load more items” at the bottom)
- Click on the appropriate option from the dropdown list to delve deeper into the details.
- Selecting an item, such as a specific Pepsi product, will prompt XSite to display a detailed view. This view includes essential information like the PLU, item description, pricing, UPC, quantity on hand, and much more.
- The resulting window provides comprehensive details, enabling you to assess critical aspects of the queried term.
- You can review and verify product specifics, evaluate supplier information, or examine the pricing structure within the selected category.
