This article shows you how to create and configure a Price Group in XSite (XSiteIO or XSite Classic) so you can increase sales and speed up checkout by automatically applying correct multi-item discounts when qualifying items are scanned at the POS.

Before you begin

You must have access to Price Book and Promotions in XSite.

Steps

Create a Price Group in XSiteIO

  1. Go to Price Book → Promotions → Price Groups.
  2. Click the [ + ] icon at the top left.
  3. Review the auto-generated ID for the Price Group.
  4. Enter a clear name in Description (for example, “Chocolate Bars 2 for $0.88”).
  5. Enter the regular Unit Price for one item.
  6. Click the [ + ] button next to the price field.
  7. In Availability, select the sites or regions for the deal.
  8. Click the Price Group ID to open the edit screen.
  9. In Quantity Pricing, enter the number of items required.
  10. Enter the total sale price for that quantity.
  11. Click the [ shopping cart ] icon to calculate the discount and unit price.
  12. In Items in Price Group, search for items by PLU, UPC, or description.
  13. Add each item to the group.
  14. Click [ Save ] at the top of the page.

Create a Price Group in XSite Classic

  1. Go to Price Book → Price Groups.
  2. Click the [ + ] icon at the top left.
  3. Review the auto-generated ID for the Price Group.
  4. Enter a description for the deal.
  5. Enter the Unit Price for one item.
  6. Click the blue [ Add ] button.
  7. In Availability, select the site or region.
  8. Click the ID number to open the Price Group.
  9. In Quantity Pricing, enter the required item quantity.
  10. Enter the total deal price for that quantity.
  11. Click the [ Add ] button to calculate the unit price.
  12. In Components/Items, find items by PLU, UPC, or name.
  13. Add each item to the group.
  14. Click the blue [ Update ] button at the top.

Tips & Warnings

  • All items in a Price Group must have the same regular price.
  • Price Groups apply automatically only when the required quantity is met.
  • If the discount does not apply, check Availability and Quantity Pricing.
  • Do not mix items with different tax rules in the same Price Group.
  • Test the deal at the register before using it during busy hours.
