This article shows you how to add a new user in XSite by entering user details, assigning a site, and setting the user type so you can ensure only authorized users have the correct level of access to XSite, protecting store data and maintaining secure, controlled system use.
Before you begin
- You must have admin or manager access to add and edit users.
Steps
Add a new user in XSiteIO
- Click the [Settings] icon in the bottom-left corner and select [Users].
- Review the blank new user row that appears automatically.
- Enter a unique value in User ID.
- Enter the Name the user will log in with.
- Enter a secure Password.
- Select the correct Site Assignment for the user.
- Click [Add] to save the new user.
- Click the user’s User ID to open their profile.
- Set User Type to Limited if the user should only edit items at their assigned site.
Add a new user in XSite Classic
- Go to Administration in the side menu and click Users.
- Click [Add] to create a new user.
- Enter the User ID, Name, Password, and Site Assignment.
- Click [Add] to save the user.
- Click the new user’s User ID to edit access settings.
- Set User Type to Limited if the user should only edit items at their assigned site.
Tips & Warnings
- Use unique User IDs for each person.
- Avoid sharing login credentials between employees.
- Limited users cannot access system-wide settings.
- If a user cannot log in, confirm their site assignment and password.
- Review user access regularly to prevent unauthorized changes.
