Scan items and save an inventory count from your phone

This article shows you how to create and save an inventory count in XSite Mobile by scanning items, entering quantities, and saving the count batch so you can review and post the count accurately from the desktop version of XSite.

Before you begin
- Make sure your Bluetooth scanner is paired with your mobile device.
- Make sure you have your XSite login credentials.
Steps
- Open your mobile web browser.
- Go to xsitemobile.com.
- Log in with your XSite username and password.
- Tap [Count] on the home screen.
- Tap the [+] button at the top of the screen.
- Select the location where you are counting (for example, Back Office, Storage, or Floor).
- Use your scanner to scan an item, or manually enter its UPC.
- Enter the quantity counted for that item.
- Repeat scanning and entering quantities for each item.
- Tap [Save] when you are finished.
- Log in to XSite on a computer.
- Review your saved count before posting it.
Tips & Warnings
- Scanning the same item more than once in the same location will not increase the quantity.
- Scanning the same item in different locations will add to the total.
- Posting a count is final. Always review your count on desktop before posting.
- If items do not appear after scanning, confirm your scanner is paired and connected.
- If you cannot type a quantity, check your keyboard settings or scanner mode.
