This article shows you how to add and configure car wash items in XSite by linking them to existing items and setting wash options so car wash services can be sold correctly at the POS and tracked accurately in XSite.

Before you begin

Before you start, make sure:

• Each car wash type is already added as an item in your price book.
• You know which wash types you offer (for example, regular, deluxe, or protection).
• You have access to Price Book in XSite.
• Esso sites have the correct two-letter wash package codes.

Steps

In XSiteIO

• Go to [Price Book] from the side menu.
• Click [Car Wash].
• Click the [+] icon at the top left.
• In Item, enter the PLU or description of the car wash item.
• Select the correct Car Wash Type.
  • Esso sites only: Enter the two-letter Esso Wash Package code.
• Enter a value in Wash Counter if you use it.
• Set the AFD Wash Position.
• Enter the number of days under Valid for (days).
• Click [Add].
• Repeat these steps for each wash type you offer.
• To change an existing wash, click [Edit].

In XSite Classic

• Go to [Price Book] from the side menu.
• Click [Car Wash].
• In Item, enter the PLU or description of the car wash item.
• Select the correct Car Wash Type.
  • Esso sites only: Enter the two-letter Esso Wash Package code.
• Enter a value in Wash Counter if used.
• Set the AFD Wash Position.
• Enter the number of days under Valid for (days).
• Click [Add].
• Repeat these steps for each wash type you offer.
• To change a wash, click [Edit].

Tips & Warnings

• Car wash items must exist in the price book before they can be configured.
• Make sure the AFD Wash Position matches the order shown at the pump.
• Incorrect wash package codes can prevent washes from working at the POS.
• Review each wash after saving to confirm the correct item and settings were used.
• If washes do not appear at the pump, recheck the wash type and position.
