Update quantity on hand for an item
Adjust inventory counts so stock levels are correct

This article shows you how to update the Quantity on Hand (QOH) for an item using its PLU or description in XSite so inventory counts are accurate and reports, ordering, and stock levels reflect what is actually in the store.
Before you begin
Before you start, make sure:
- You are logged into XSite.
- You have access to Price Book and Items.
Steps
In XSiteIO
- From the side menu select [Price Book].
- Click [Items], then click [Items] again.
- Use the search bar to find the item, or browse the list.

Click the PLU number for the item.
- Optional: Click the Description to open the alternate item form.
- Find Quantity on Hand by Site.
- Click the [edit] icon next to the current QOH.
- Enter the new QOH value.
- Click the [checkmark] to confirm.
- Click [Save & Close].
In XSite Classic
- From the side menu select [Price Book].
- Click [Items].
- Use the search bar to find the item.
- Click the PLU number to open the item form.
- Do not click the Description.
- Find Quantity on hand in following sites.
- Click the QOH number to edit.
- Enter the new QOH value.
- Click the [checkmark] to confirm.
- Click [Save & Close].
Tips & Warnings
- Use manual QOH updates for corrections, not daily sales tracking.
- Always open the item by PLU in XSite Classic to change QOH.
- Double-check the number before saving.
- Sync after updates so the POS receives the change.
- If QOH looks wrong later, review recent sales and adjustments.
